Marchel is also a proud member of the International Aviation Women Association (IAWA) and the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP), where she actively supports efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the aerospace industry.
Marchel’s dedication to community service began early in her career as a City of Memphis AmeriCorps VISTA at GrowMemphis (now Memphis Tilth). There, she worked on local food policy initiatives and helped expand access to healthy eating programs across the Memphis area.
Marchel holds a B.A in Psychology with a minor in Statistics from Wake Forest University and an MBA from Webster University. As a former violinist with the Memphis Youth Symphony Program (MYSP), she knows firsthand the power of music to inspire and uplift young people. Today, she is proud to serve on the MYSP board, where she works alongside community partners to expand access to music education and foster the next generation of Memphis talent.
