Rehearsal schedules vary by ensemble. All rehearsals are on Sundays.

Concert Band: 1-2:30pm
Intermezzo Orchestra: 1:15-2:30pm
Prelude Strings: 1:30-2:45pm
String Orchestra: 3-5pm
Wind Ensemble (spring): 3-5pm
Repertory Orchestra: 5:30-8pm
Youth Symphony: 5:30-8pm

Because MYSP is an ensemble-based program, consistent attendance is extremely important. Students are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances whenever possible. Each student may miss 2 rehearsals per semester.

Occasional absences are understandable, but excessive absences may affect a student’s participation or seating placement. Families should communicate absences as early as possible.

Students should arrive early enough to unpack, warm up, and be seated before rehearsal or call time begins. We recommend students arrive at least 10 minutes early to rehearsals and 15 minutes early to concerts.
