Conductor, cellist, and music educator Mark Cellini brings his love of music to every aspect of his work, creating meaningful experiences for both students and audiences alike. After more than a decade teaching orchestra and general music in Pennsylvania, Mark relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, where he is currently pursuing a PhD in Music Education at the University of Memphis.

Mark’s work on the podium has included directing youth, community, and university ensembles. He has worked with the Chester County Youth Orchestra and the Immaculata University Symphony Orchestra in Pennsylvania, and he was recently appointed conductor of the Memphis Youth Symphony Program’s Repertory Orchestra, where he looks forward to sharing his passion for orchestral music with young musicians across the Mid-South. An equally committed performer, he plays cello and viola with the Germantown Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonietta Memphis, as well as chamber ensembles throughout the region.

A devoted advocate for music education, Mark is an active member of the National Association for Music Education and the American String Teachers Association. He has presented at conferences and workshops throughout the Northeast and is excited to continue that work here in the Mid-South.
